Capabilities
GLASi has the capability and staff to design and build semi automated or fully automated assembly and test systems.
Our capabilities include but are not limited to:
The AMi brand product line consists of 3 standard cam driven rotary dial machines referred to as the; AMi/1, AMi/2, and the AMi/4.
Each machine utilizes standard off the shelf tooling for pick and place, probe, orient, shuttle and lift just to name a few. These tooling packages are interchangeable between the 3 chassis´.
Cycle rates range from 10cpm to 70cpm depending on the application.
The AMi product line has been in existence since 1973. There are over 800 machines in the field.
The AMi assembly machine never becomes obsolete. There have been hundreds of machines retooled because of product design changes or machines have been completely rebuilt for a brand new product.

We have the capability to custom design and build rotary dials to fit our customers specific needs. From 4 stations to 32 stations, with dial diameter´s ranging from 12" to 60".
We have designed and built various types of lean cells to aid the operator in assembly and test of components. Typically the Lean Cells are used for low volume products with a high mix of product variations. All systems designed incorporate poka yoke to insure parts are placed correctly and in the proper orientation.
Custom designed linear systems consist of pallet based, non synchronous power and free, precision link, indexing conveyors and walking beams.
We are a certified integrator of Cognex and DVT Vision Systems. These camera systems have been integrated as part of fully automated assembly lines or stand alone inspection modules.
Every system we design and build includes some form of testing and verification. Over the years we have integrated leak testing, function testing and electrical testing and thread inspection just to name a few.
Robots have been integrated for material handling, assembling components, remove components from mold machines and automatically load mold machines for insert molding process.
